Kreikan kansallispäivän kunniaksi erikoiskonsertti Helsingissä 18. toukokuuta 2026

Kreikan kansallispäivän - jota alun perin vietettiin 25. maaliskuuta - kunniaksi Kreikan Suomen suurlähetystöllä on ilo ilmoittaa ainutlaatuisesta konserttitapahtumasta nimeltä "KREIKKALAINEN MUSIIKKIMATKA: Kansanperintö kohtaa kreikkalaiset nykysäveltäjät". Konsertti järjestetään 18. toukokuuta 2026 ikonisessa Temppeliaukion kirkossa ja siihen on vapaa pääsy.

Esiintyjänä konsertissa on arvostettu yhtye "Artemi".

Konserttiohjelmassa esitellään rikas ohjelmisto, johon kuuluu legendaaristen kreikkalaisten säveltäjien, kuten Mikis Theodorakisin ja Manos Hadjidakisin sävellyksiä, perinteisiä kansanmelodioita, jotka on tulkittu uudelleen nykyaikaisilla sovituksilla, ja Zafeiris Koukouzelisin sävellyksiä.

Celebrating the National Day of Greece: Special Concert in Helsinki on 18 May 2026

On the occasion of the celebration of the National Day of Greece, originally commemorated on 25 March, the Embassy of Greece in Finland has the pleasure to announce a unique concert event titled “GREEK MUSICAL JOURNEY: Folk Heritage Meets Contemporary Greek Composers”. The concert will take place on 18 May 2026 at the iconic Temppeliaukio Church in Helsinki and will be open to the public.

This unique musical event features the distinguished ensemble “Artemi”, an artistic collaboration between the Leros Island Cultural Research and Development Center “Artemis” and the acclaimed composer and orchestrator Zafeiris Koukouzelis.

The Leros Cultural Research and Development Center “Artemis” has cultivated strong cultural partnerships across Europe, including Finland, where it maintains a fruitful relationship of over ten years with the Christine and Göran Schildt Foundation and the Swedish-speaking cultural center Brage in Helsinki.

The concert program will showcase a rich repertoir including compositions by legendary Greek composers such as Mikis Theodorakis and Manos Hadjidakis, alongside traditional folk melodies reimagined with contemporary arrangements and original compositions by Zafeiris Koukouzelis.
